Where are my screenshots stored?

Every screenshot lands in a folder on your PC automatically — typically Pictures/DevShot. You can browse the full history from the desktop app, or open the folder directly in File Explorer. Nothing ever leaves your network.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. DevShot works entirely over your local WiFi. Both devices just need to be on the same network — no cloud, no servers, no internet round-trip.

How is this better than WhatsApp-to-self or Telegram?

Self-DMing on chat apps clutters the chat with files, takes 4–5 taps per screenshot, and routes your private screenshots through someone else's servers. DevShot is one tap → already on the destination clipboard. Local-only, instant, and your captures stay searchable in a real folder, not buried in chat history.

Is it secure?

Yes. The connection between phone and PC is end-to-end encrypted with a self-signed TLS certificate that's pinned during QR pairing. There's no account, no telemetry, and no third-party server in the middle.

Does it work on Mac or Linux?

Right now DevShot ships for Windows 10+ and Android 10+. macOS and Linux desktop builds are on the roadmap — sign up via the contact email to be notified.
